Description Summary:
We are looking for a passionate candidate who can perform Database Administration tasks in Oracle Database.
Designs and builds simple to complex database structures from data models. Installs configure and patches in Oracle. Implements HA and DR systems using Data guard and RAC.
Full Description: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Installing and upgrading the Oracle server and application tools
Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed
an application
Working knowledge of RMAN Data guard RAC Data pump ASM Networking Oracle 11G Performance Tuning
SQL Database Grid CRS management Firewall.
Change/Release Management and maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise
Management Grid Control.
Complex database migrations. Working knowledge with offshore partners and various cultures.
Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
Database: grant access rights, manage authorizations.
OS Service Monitoring: Monitoring OS Services of the Applications (Up/Down).
Database structure creation at the schema level and active reporting (data collection and report build).
Install Database Server Security based upon Service Level.
Respond to database security alerts.
Applying simple/repeatable Security Patch. Regular Oracle DB admin password change.
Process Monitoring: Monitoring OS processes of the DB (Up/Down). Service Monitoring: Monitoring OS
Services of the DB (Up/Down).
Upgradation of Database version from existing to the latest recommended version in coordination
MSIL domain owner.
Database System Performance monitoring gathering d report build (buffer hit ratio, etc. for reporting).
Work in close coordination with the application and other teams to resolve issues and optimize the database performance.
Facilitate new database deployments, execute and manage cronjobs and perform another routine database administration activities from a remotlocationson.
Monitoring and management of table space usage, buffer cache hit ratio, no. of segments approaching max extent, chain counts index usability, invalid object counts, etc
